Bruce Bessette has over 35 years of experience in Avionics and Aircraft Maintenance. Bruce served in the US Air Force and worked for both America West and Southwest Airlines. He has extensive experience in bench electronics, line maintenance, and heavy check maintenance. Bruce is also a retired FAA Aviation Safety Inspector- Airworthiness. Currently, in addition to writing textbooks, Bruce is a Community College Avionics and A&P Instructor. He holds an NCATT AET certification and is an NCATT Senior Instructor. He has an FCC GROL and FAA A&P with Inspection Authorization. He is also a commercial pilot for glider and SEL/ MEL with a Boeing 737 type rating. On a personal note, Bruce is married, and he and his wife have two grown children. Bruce not only comes to aviation training with extensive experience and knowledge but a strong family tradition in the field of aviation maintenance as well. His son Samuel Bessette, a private pilot and newly minted A&P/NCATT AET assisted in editing this book along with his grandfather Lorence Bessette.
