James L. Hargrove, Ph.D. is an emeritus Associate Professor in the Department of Foods and Nutrition at the University of Georgia. He earned a B.S. in Biology, M.S. in Physiology, and a Ph.D. in Biology and Physiology from Utah State University. He did research at the University of Iowa Diabetes Center before taking a faculty position at Emory University School of Medicine. Currently, Dr. Hargrove is director of a Nutraceutical Research Laboratory in the Dept. of Foods and Nutrition at The University of Georgia, Athens, GA. He develops new nutraceutical products, trains graduate students and teaches both undergraduate and graduate students in nutrition science. Dr. Hargrove is the author of several books related to nutrient control of gene expression and computer modeling in nutrition. He has published over 100 research papers, books, book chapters, and conference papers. Diane K. Hartle, Ph.D. earned a B.S. in Biochemistry from the University of Minnesota and a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Iowa. She has had faculty appointments at Emory University in Atlanta, GA and The University of Georgia in Athens, GA. Currently Dr. Hartle is an emerita Associate Professor and Director of a Nutraceutical Research Laboratory in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia. She is a member of the Graduate Faculty and trains graduate students in biomedical research. Besides conducting and publishing nutraceutical research, she studies natural products and health, and teaches pharmacology and nutraceutical science to Pharm.D. students and graduate students in health-related Ph.D. programs. Phillip Greenspan, Ph.D. earned an A.B. from Rutgers College and a Ph.D. from the University of Iowa in Pharmacology. He has had academic appointments at Bowman Gray School of Medicine and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. Dr. Greenspan is an Associate Professor in the College of Pharmacy at the University of Georgia. He is Director of a Nutraceutical Research Laboratory developing new nutraceutical products and trains graduate students in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences. He teaches physiology and pharmacology to Pharm.D. and graduate students in various health-related Ph.D. programs.
