Professor Undertree is a language and English writing instructor in Southern California, USA. With an M.A. in Linguistics, B.A. in English, Post-Graduate Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language, and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Reading Instruction, she has been helping students master the intricacies of English reading, writing, speaking and listening since she began as a college peer tutor in 1999. Having taught in a variety of settings including private language schools, state college, university, and community colleges, she has been privileged to teach writing and editing techniques to a diverse student population. In addition to her classroom teaching, Prof. Undertree also maintains Coleman's Classroom, a platform to engage, educate, and empower. On her website at www.ccundertree.com, she provides an assortment of educational materials. Most recently, she has branched into the world of digital education with a channel on Youtube. You can also find her on Instagram @ ccundertree or Facebook @ CiCiUndertree. Prof. Undertree has several goals for all her educational materials and lessons. The first is to provide a place of inclusion for all learners where everyone is welcome. Another is to provide quality, pragmatic information to facilitate students' language development. A bonus would be to engender a passion for the power of good English and the possibility for excellence. Her ultimate goal is to teach herself out of a job, for when the instructor has become redundant because the student has become his or her own instructor, Prof. Undertree will have achieved her supreme success. She aims high, no less than changing the world - one word, one story, one student at a time.
