Marlene is part of the "sandwich generation", caring for an aging parent while raising her own family. Until her mother's passing, three generations occupied Marlene's childhood home in Salem, Virginia where she continues to raise her family. Marlene and her husband, Daryl have three children, Darren, Emily and Lizzy; daughter-in-law, Lauren and two grandchildren, Savannah and Brooklyn. Marlene attended Appalachian Bible College in Bradley, WV and Brandon Secretarial College in Roanoke, VA. She founded A & M Floral Gallery with her mother in 1985. Marlene has worked as a church secretary, florist, and for the past 4 1/2 years has provided specialized foster care. She currently works from home as an independent distributor for a greeting card company. Marlene enjoys reading, writing, crafting and traveling.
