Passion for Spain An Andalusian Love Story

Dwight Stewart is the second of three sons by Miriam and Jeptha Stewart Sr. He was born in Brooklyn, New York City. He quickly developed the ability to analyze the importance and beauty of life. Raised in a strict Christian home he was taught the value and importance of a premium education. At the age of seven he wrote his first poem, titled Spring. He was always fascinated with words. He would walk home from Public School 91 and read the dictionary. When asked why, he would say, "because words make me happy". Dwight attended Oakwood Friends School in Poughkeepsie, New York and developed a profound love for the natural world. Later he graduated from Wesleyan University with bachelor degrees in philosophy and government. There he began writing songs and formed the band Prophets of Soul. In 2000 he had a profound impact on the music album Here's Life Volume 1 by Julian Owens. With the help of John Palozzi he published I Know How People Die (2002), followed by Words to Heal (2009). Dwight wrote and recorded the album Speak: Words to Heal in 2013. Dwight wears poetry on his smile which is contagious and beams rays of light, illuminating his pride and humility. His messages of love and human empowerment are realized as his audiences allow the spirit of peace and joy to exist at their heart's center. His poetry inspires renewal mentally, physically and spiritually in ways that celebrate humanity. Dwight is currently a professor and assistant principal residing in South Florida.
