AUTHOR'S NOTES I love writing. I've been writing since the age of 8 and have never stopped putting my thoughts and ideas into words. I began writing professionally, but part-time, as a feature writer for the Western Mail, the national newspaper of Wales, whilst raising my three daughters, during which time I also acted as a stringer for the local newspapers whilst germinating ideas for future projects. When the children left home I was lucky enough to have my first children's book ("The Magic Apostrophe") published and, at the same time, was accepted at University to read for an MA which segued into gaining a PhD. Having now had some 30 books published plus many contributions in anthologies children's books, plays, poetry, fantasy and historical fiction and adult short stories in newspapers, magazines and anthologies, I have never lost either the urge or the need to write. It gives me tremendous pleasure that, because of the foregoing, I'm in the position of being able to visit schools to work with both children helping to foster a love of literature and of creative writing, the former as a Patron of Reading to two Welsh schools. I currently live in Brittany, France but return to the UK as often as possible to work with schools, libraries and universities. If you have enjoyed this book, please tell your friends and, if you can, write a review on Amazon and/or the Good Reads website.
