The Simplicity of Autism Good News and Practical Truth
Autism is a conversation that is, relatively speaking, a young conversation. The first diagnosis was published in the DSM(The Diagnostic And Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) in 1980. Hans Aspergers research was only translated into English in 1991.
I have personally interviewed more than 7,000 individuals or groups, and I have found that although we are forty-one years into this Autism discussion, a practical understanding of the Autism diagnosis remains elusive among society at large. There remains a prominent belief among society as a whole that Autism is just too complicated to be understood.
This belief A) Creates enormously limiting hurdles, and B), Is false!
My book, The Simplicity of Autism, puts this myth to rest in practical and profound ways, and delivers powerful assurance and understanding for any person, from any walk of life who would like to have greater clarity and connection with Autistic individuals.
