Being married to an opinionated Frenchman that believes bread is the most important part of any meal has not been easy! Couple that with the fact that, in his "expert" opinion, it is almost impossible to find truly authentic French bread in America; especially in Texas where we live. I have faced quite a challenge in dealing with this issue in our 37 years of marriage! In self defense I worked out a method that is both easy and delicious and wins rave reviews from one and all, even my Frenchman husband, you know the one...that opinionated bread expert! Me, I am easy going and I like things that are EASY to do and generally don't waste a lot of my time. I also like easy to follow directions with pictures, if possible! As a "home grown " gal from Texas married to a crazy Frenchman for 37 years and counting, we share our life together living in a cozy log home on 10 acres of hardwoods in rural central Texas where we have joyfully raised 3 children. Currently we have 5 grandchildren ranging in age from one year to 20 years who are the delight of our lives and a near constant source of amusement which keeps us both laughing and young at heart.
