Johan Lolos is a Belgian-born self-taught travel photographer with a passion for the outdoors and the wilderness. After he graduated in PR in 2013 he left Europe and spent a whole year exploring Australia and showcasing the beauty of the country to his audience, mainly on Instagram. Things got serious when National Geographic, BuzzFeed and Daily Mail published his photos of Australia; that's when he decided to go full-time as an outdoor photographer. After another year spent in New Zealand between 2014 and 2015, Johan settled down in his hometown of Lige, Belgium, where his studio is. Since then, he has traveled around the world both on assignment and for personal photo projects. His images of New Zealand have been published in Mashable, National Geographic Travel, Outside Magazine, and Huffington Post. In the summer of 2017, Johan completed a 5-month road trip around Europe, a personal project named Peaks of Europe, with the support of many sponsors. In 5 months, he travelled more than 40,000km across 17 countries. With more than 450,000 followers on Instagram, Johan Lolos was a pioneer of the travel photography influencer industry, as he started using the app in 2013. Today, Johan's audience is spread around the world with the top 5 countries following him being the US, Germany, France, the UK and Belgium (source: iconosquare).
