Here is a book about Robert Burns, about his songs, about history, about politics, about love and loss. Part Biography and literary analysis, part Guitar Songbook, this has two audiences: the general reader who wants a fuller understanding of Burns and how he was shaped by the political and religious forces of his times; and the musician wanting to play and understand these beautiful, old Scottish songs. All twelve pieces are arranged for accompanied or solo guitar (with links to my YouTube channel to see and hear them performed). The arrangements are all in standard EADGBE tuning and can be played with a plectrum /pick. N.B. There is also a ukulele version of this book.
