Jennifer M. Brinkerhoff is Professor of Public Administration and International Affairs at the George Washington University (Ph.D., public administration, University of Southern California in Los Angeles). Her publications include seven books, five co-edited journal issues, and over sixty articles and book chapters. Dr. Brinkerhoff consults for multilateral development banks, bilateral assistance agencies, NGOs, and foundations. Her research and applied work focus on partnership, civil society, institutional development, and development management, including in Africa, China, Mongolia, Central Asia, and Russia. She has provided advice and training on diasporas and development for the US Government, and for diaspora organizations and government officials in Europe.
