Donna Smith was born in Hamilton, Ohio and raised in Southern California. She is an LVN that spends a great deal of her time caring for children that are terminally ill or who have major physical and /or mental challenges. From this background she has successfully created a series of children's books that will bring joy and education to children of all ages. Donna is a new literary writer that has been writing children's books for the past 15 years. She is currently represented by Holistic Creations & Designs, LLC and a copy of her first book will be available for review in the next few months. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse for many years Donna has been able to care for many individuals and bring joy and peace to the lives of those she cares for. During her tenure, Donna has worked with disabled children and adults in many different settings. These roles and responsibilities have given her plenty of satisfaction while caring for and helping them reach for their goals. More specifically, Donna has learned that her work is self rewarding and she takes her job to heart. Donna has demonstrated a strong sense of family values and it is important for her to leave a lasting impression with each child or adult she touches. Given the task at hand, it is also important to Donna that everyone she touches knows that there is a true purpose for their lives. Donna spends her leisure time serving in the community. She has been a volunteer, supporter, and member of Jubilee Christian Faith Center in Pasadena, California for over 30 years and she has participated in the production of musical and theatrical events sponsored by the Daniel Foundation throughout the community. As a part of the Daniel Foundation, it would be her hope to bring this same passion to the children and adults that this foundation will serve, and to share the vision with everyone that she comes into contact with wherever she goes. It is her aspiration to help every child and adult to understand what their true purpose is in life. Donna has been involved with the Daniel Foundation from the beginning. She was able to use the Daniel Foundation as a core standard for raising her three children. Because of the support of the Daniel Foundation, her children have become vibrant adults. Donna believes that The Daniel Foundation has provided direction and hope for those who may not see the light at the end of the tunnel.
