In the Veil of Myst you will experience the heartbreaking tragedy of death but also the wonder of life. I wrote this story back in 1978, and when I read it to my young sons they shed tears, but when I came to the finale their hearts brimmed with joy. I set the story aside while I worked on others, and did not get back to it until recently.The story is purposely macabre because much of the stuff of life in this world is macabre-which is true today more so than ever. Veil of Myst is more than an engaging story; it is an allegory probing the mystery of death. What is death and is there existence after death? It is a story worth pondering as we look at where mankind is today, seemingly bent on self-destruction. As we contemplate life and the culmination of our lives, what is our destiny?
