Milele (author's middle name) means "For Eternity" in Kiswahili & has provided her with motivation to grow & evolve infinitely throughout life. As a child, Milele developed a fascination with the sciences when her mother, who worked for NASA, shared lessons on physics, aeronautics, engineering and our solar system. Her mother Azima (the charmer) taught her about ancient sciences, technology, that there is an answer for everything and everyone deserves to live freely according to culture. Her fascination developed her talents and skills along two paths: She graduated with honors from Harris Stowe State University with a B.S. in Accounting and from Webster University with a M.A. in Management and Leadership and over a twenty year span, Milele studied ancient Kemetic sciences including astrology, numerology, herbalism, crystal healing, aromatherapy, alchemy, divination and mysticism. "I am an educator, business owner, writer, healer, teacher, liberator, wife, gardener, accountant, lover, mentor, friend, mother of two warriors and above all Afrikan Woman restoring humanity to the world. I began this journey to free minds, help bring healing and to challenge commonly accepted stereotypes that limit our life experience, Yet I have gotten as much as I have given from this process." Her experience growing up & working at Progressive Emporium (a prominent Afrikan bookstore/ cultural center) helped to shape her into the woman & artist she is. Her encounters exposed her to a myriad of artists & teachers who educated her in many schools of thought. From meeting Muhammad Ali to studying under Nana CK Gano, Paramount Chief of the Ewe of Ghana, she was given a rich knowledge of the power and influence that "art" has.
