A short novel of aliens, science, and extraterrestrial possibilities-served with a punch of humor. Political unrest. Environmental damage. A world in decline. Earth appears to be headed for another global extinction. Far off on Planet IXon, supplies of life-sustaining methane are running low. The IXonians commission their giant computerized Ranatron to explore new sources of this vital hydrocarbon. Follow Ranatron's interplanetary adventures to discover their impact on the Earthlings' survival. Will these methane-seeking aliens push Earth over the edge? Or will they help save the inhabitants of a dying planet? About the Author
Dr. Robert K. Leet is a retired physician who loves to write science fiction and read anything he can get his hands on. With his Harvard University geology degree in hand, he worked on a scientific expedition in the Arctic Circle before embarking on his forty-year career as an internist. He began in aerospace medicine where he had the distinct honor of being kicked in the head by Neil Armstrong during a training exercise. Through his unique lens, he weaves together his experiences and interests in medicine, science, geography, and politics, providing a fascinating perspective to his writing. He has three grown children, five grandchildren, and he lives in Shrewsbury, Massachusetts with his beloved wife of sixty-three years.
