Fresh off their vows of lifelong commitment and fidelity, Graham and Trish Wales threw themselves into the unknown venture of what was destined to be a classical African overland safari. Almost immediately, things began to go wrong.

Without any prior organization, knowledge, research, or planning (and being guided only by a vague and somewhat arbitrary goal and end destination), the chaos set in before even leaving their arrival city of Cape Town, South Africa. It only got worse from there, as they made their way through a nearly infinite series of unexpected and only sometimes controllable calamities brought on by their hasty choice of car, Mother Nature, police, and their own poor decisions.

Sustained by the bonds of matrimony, God Almighty, and Africa's unrivaled natural splendor, Graham and Trish pushed on through each trial and made it to the end, either limping across the finish line or triumphantly conquering the journey. They're not quite sure which.

Either way, with all its African-sized twists and turns, highs and lows, and predictable unpredictability, it was a honeymoon never to be forgotten. For better or for worse.
