Together We Finish!

Together We Finish! is the first book in an eventual series of children's books featuring members of Athletes Serving Athletes, a 501c3 non-profit charity funded entirely by our private donors, corporate sponsors, and granting organizations. Together We Finish! features ASA Athletes and WingMen including founder David Slomkowski, and athletes James Banks, Shane Lauer, as well as, the IronGirls Corey Ward, Defu Fekadu and Lily Reckeweg. Enjoy the inspirational story of these amazing specially-abled athletes as they start their journey, enjoy the many miles in between and Finish The Race Together! Athletes Serving Athletes (ASA) began with a group of motivated, volunteer athletes who wanted to use their abilities to support individuals living with disabilities in Baltimore City. In 2007, they partnered with the William S. Baer School, to share the thrill of athletic competition with Baer Student Athletes living with disabilities. ASA's success can be defined by how many people have been encouraged to cross the finish line since 2007. With strong leadership and dedicated WingMen, donors and volunteers, sponsors and partners, ASA continues to empower Athletes living with disabilities to train and compete in over 100 running and triathlon events per year. ASA's reach has extended from Baltimore City to the mid-Atlantic region, offering mentoring, training, and competitive opportunities.
