Dale Simmons is a retired Marine from Ridgecrest, Ca. Simmons was first exposed to the value of self-defense training at the age of nine when he was physically assaulted by a bully. This event prompted the start of his studies of all the martial arts. Simmons wanted to become one of the most combat skilled martial artists in the world. He is now a 5th Degree Black Belt of the Travador Ramos TRACMA-DO Philippine combat martial arts organization. He was a military hand to hand combat instructor of his own authored course and welcomed any challenge to his skills. This reality based challenging of his skills he still answers to this day. He always confounded and controlled his attackers with ease, usually letting them dance on one foot before gently setting them down on the ground. The 20 man formal Marine military hand to hand combat training unit from MCRD San Diego declined to engage him or 4 of his military students in actual hand to hand combat. This event was recorded on video and DVD. His academic military background allows him to write his own courseware and design his own graphics. Simmons is currently working on the 34th notebook of technical analytical drawings of close combat technique and is planning to publish them later as written works. He has a 3000 book Martial Arts reference library and all of his own training equipment for a mobile instructional capability. During his 50-year study, Simmons combined his knowledge of many sciences and applied them to his Martial Arts studies. Simmons' scientific background is used to perform research and analysis of body position, strategy, tactics and force application within a legal application context. He teaches the concept of Combat Science; it is the sum of all of Simmons's ongoing studies in such diverse fields as "Philosophy, Sociology, Physics, Kinesiology, Uncertainty Analysis and Conflict Resolution". These and many other sciences are all focused on winning the verbal, mentally intimidating or physical confrontation. And he writes for a hoot.
