A self proclaimed, but not self-righteous skeptic, Micah Hanks is a writer and researcher who has undertaken a lifelong search for answers to life's enduring questions. He has contributed articles and stories regarding strange phenomena, philosophy, scientific discoveries and political topics to magazines like FATE Magazine, Fortean Times, Mysteries Magazine, UFO Magazine, The Journal of Anomalous Sciences, Intrepid Magazine, New Dawn, and several others. In 2010, his research regarding altered states of consciousness, psychedelic drugs and the prevalence of similarities between archetypal folklore from around the world culminated in the book "Magic, Mysticism and the Molecule: The Search For Sentient Intelligence from Other Worlds." Additionally, he was a featured contributor to several anthologies in the "Exposed, Uncovered and Declassified" series, released by New Page Books in 2011. Finally, just in time for the end of the Mayan calendar, Hanks also penned one of the few "futurist" perspectives on UFO phenomenon with his book, "The UFO Singularity," (New Page Books, 2012). Hanks has appeared on numerous television and radio programs, including National Geographic's Paranatural, the History Channel's Guts and Bolts, CNN Radio, The Jeff Rense Program, and a variety of other shows and podcasts.
