When faced with her first audit in 2012, Juli Ogden, a central Washington State cherry farmer, found farm food safety to be in desperate need of common sense. She sat down with the extensive food safety rules and put her past experience in developing businesses and real estate to use. She began creation of a food safety system that was as short as possible and organized the way a farmer does their work. Juli Ogden hosted the world-wide syndicated radio show "Real Estate, Real Advice", a live, call-in show designed to help people understand and manage their own real estate assets. At age 32 she was Washington State's Small Business Woman of the Year. Now, at age 60, Juli lives and works on her farm, loves teaching Farm Plan Workshops, and makes sure each year's Farm Plan is fully updated and as simple as possible. She has trained many, many farms in common sense food safety.
