Chuma Mmeka also known as 'T-char' is a motivational writer, trainer and film actor. He is an award winning Nigerian humanitarian known for his contributions to human resources development, youth empowerment and child protection. Born Chukwumaobim Jimson Chijioke Mmeka on June 21, 1975 to Enyi Jim Mmeka and Lolo Jossy Mmeka of Alaenyi-Ofeahia, Amaigbo in Nwangele Local Government Area of Imo State, Nigeria, Chuma is a published poet, corporate administrator and showbiz/media personality. T-char's on-screen experience began as a child with an audition staged at his Aba Owerri Road Primary School in 1985/86 by Phil Okwara, a Producer at the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Channel 6, Aba. It was Phil, who first noticed the skills he possessed and asked to take him up as a child protege. She got him on board her weekly television programs: 'Children's Variety' and 'Junior Opinion', and actually allowed him to present the programs on air a couple of times. He was soon recommended to Nkechi Osarue-Osakwe then producer/anchor for the new NTA Network children's program 'Tales by Moonlight'. With this successful involvement with television, other children in his hood came to Chuma for coaching and successful recommendations for TV appearances. In secondary school, Chuma joined the Drama Club and was key to his all-boys School win in a state-wide competition with his role as "Serinya" (A well traveled lady in 'The Incorruptible Judge' by D. Olu Olagoke). That year 1990, Chuma was given the 'Best Imo Schools Acting Talent Award' by the state Ministry for Education. Currently, Chuma 'T-char' Mmeka is a fast rising actor in the Nollywood Nigeria film industry. Within a year of his decision to become a professional actor, he has played principal roles in several high flying movies including among others: "Beyond Beauty" by AndyBest Production; the "Secret Assassins" series directed by Sylvester Madu; "Our August Meeting" directed by Evans Orji; etc. Chuma is a corporate administrator and artiste manager, and handles the affairs of a number of show businesses and successful movie actors/actresses in Nigeria.
