During over forty years in the field of aging, Dr. Hinrichsen has provided clinical services, conducted research, directed psychology internship and fellowship programs, contributed to public policy and aging, and had leadership roles in aging-related professional organizations. He is the former U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) National Director of Community Mental Health.
