Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt, PhD Chaplain Gordon James Klingenschmitt, Ph.D., D.D. is the founder and servant of The Pray in Jesus Name Project, leading a network that reaches 80,000 U.S. pastors annually and 30,000 subscribers daily who have helped him deliver over 4 Million fax petitions to the U.S. Congress, defending pro-life, pro-marriage, pro-Israel and pro-Jesus liberties. As a former U.S. Navy Chaplain, he was instrumental in standing up for the rights of military chaplains to pray publicly "in Jesus' name." In 2006 he was vindicated by the U.S. Congress, who rescinded the bad prayer policy which had wrongly inhibited his free speech.
