Cleo is running again from the faceless enemies of her past and she is determined to know who it is.

The glamourous Justine Holmes becomes Shanna Nu. A moppy-headed plain-Jane searching for work in San Francisco. She lands a job at La Tige Detective Agency and uses the resources available to her to seek her enemies but instead finds the keys to her heart.

La Tige is a hard-edged detective. He's sloppy, crude and lacks in social graces but has a heart of gold. A familial bond forms between them as he shows her the affection and love she's so desperately sought. He also provides clues to the mystery surrounding her birth and biological family.

La Tige isn't the only new man in her life. Fetch with his devilish good looks and silver eyes sweeps Cleo off her feet. Their relationship blossoms until she's forced to make a decision concerning the mystery surrounding her life.
