Developing A Centralized Internship Program at Liberal Arts University

Dr. Hester Young Dr. Young has worked in higher education for over 30 years with expertise in applied learning internship implementation and provides leadership for a university applied learning experience internship program. She is an author, career development professor, master career director, motivational speaker, and a certified professional resume writer. She is founder of Sweet Aroma, a mentoring service for young women, and co- owner of SmarterResumes.com. She serves as an assistant dean. Dr. Young received her BS in Workforce Education and Development, MA in Human Resource Development, and Ed. D. in Education, with emphasis in Higher Education Leadership. Her Career Center has ranked in the top ten in the nation for student placement in the private liberal arts category. She was one of 35 Career Development Professionals in the country to be invited to the University of Oxford, Oxford, England, to participate in a Round Table Discussion for three consecutive years. She has also been invited to be a Career Development Delegate to China by the American Counseling Association and National Career Development Association. She has served on numerous university and community committees, boards, as a career development columnist, and career development consultant for local television. Her greatest accomplishments have been the opportunities to flow in her passion.
