Richard Joseph Bennett (b. 1957) is the author and illustrator of "Everything I Need to Know I Learned in Boy Scouts: The Story of Troop 826". He has spent all of his life in the North Texas area, growing up in Irving, Texas, and being involved with the Boy Scouts there during the 1960's. Looking back over his life he decided that these were some of the happiest days of his youth and wished to share his adventures and observations with others, especially Scouts and their parents. Mr. Bennett is retired from the Air Force Reserves and works with the U.S. Postal Service as a Letter Carrier in his home town. He writes in his spare time for fun and enjoyment, and has plenty of time to think what he'd care to pen while walking his route. He has just finished the book "Faith and Labor", which is an examination of a Texas Public High School, MacArthur High, and has recently added a work of fiction, "The Lovely Chocolate Mob", to Amazon.com and Kindle. Also, watch for the short story, "Mike, the Bike, and the Great Big Fight," soon to be available through Kindle.
