Ken Carpenter was born in Colorado, but spent all of his early life in Saratoga Wyoming. Upon graduation from high school, he attended Baylor University in Waco Texas for a short period of time. Then entered the United States Air Force serving a tour of duty for 18 months in the Philippines, and two years at the Pentagon working in the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Returning to Wyoming, he entered UW and graduated from the University of Wyoming with a BA. He jumped into show business when hired as an extra on a Warner Brothers shoot in Jackson Hole Wyoming while working as a river guide. In 1972, while working as a ski instructor and river guide in Aspen Colorado, he developed a story about Slick Rock Canyon for the ABC show "American Sportsman", after guiding a Mesa Verde research team into the Dolores River Canyon. Upon returning to Los Angeles, he immersed himself in numerous film projects, both in front of and behind the camera, earning his Screen Actors Guild membership in 1973. His successful film acting career spawning over forty years includes a number of starring and strong supporting roles for both film and television. Ken began writing the "Flight of the Angel" series of books in 2009. To date he has authored four interrelated stories with two more slated in this series: Flight of the Angel & The Winds of Allah Flight of the Angel & The Conquest of the Conquistadors Part 1 & 2
