Garden of Life is an enchanting collection of poems about great legends and dreams, war and peace, the great divide of America, personal transformation, and nature scenes. Legends such as the life and teachings of the first Buddha - Siddhartha Gautama Buddha, and the story of the young Egyptian King, Tutankhamen. War poems, such as the Vietnam War, the 9/11 tragedy, American invasion of Iraq, the Syrian War, and even corporate war on America are penned in the book.

Our beautiful world has been torn apart by hate and violence. It needs a lot of healing. Despite our different faiths, cultures and geographies, we must rise together in love and peace. The white peacock on the front cover stands for peace.

Jaya Kamlani is an award-winning Indian-American author, poet and a Global Goodwill Ambassador. She uses story-telling to encourage introspection of how our actions impact humanity. As a former Silicon Valley business and information technology veteran, she is a firm believer of kaizen, whether it is continuous improvement in manufacturing, business, our country, or ourselves. A graduate of St. Xavier's College, Mumbai, she has been living in America since 1969.

She has received several social advocacy and literary awards from the Government of India, including two Bharat Samman (Pride of India) Awards, Mahatma Gandhi Samman, Hind Rattan (Jewel of India), Nav Rattan (one of 9 jewels) and the Bharat Shiromani (Crest Jewel of India). She was also nominated for several other awards.

Her publications include non-fiction "To India, with Tough Love" (2013), her memoir "Scent of Yesterday" (2014), and poetry collection "Garden of Life" (2015, 2019).
