Dede Barr Dunst has retired after 35 years in the early childhood field. Dede has worked for the community college system as a program coordinator in the early childhood education department. She graduated from Charlotte Country Day, Queen's University and UNC-Charlotte with a Masters in Education. Her two imaginative granddaughters inspired her to tell the story in Grandee and Her Silly Birds.Dede loves travel, reading and spending time with family and friends.
