Loralee Coleman Cooley has worked as a storyteller since 1977, taking as her professional moniker STORYSPINNING, a combination of STORYspinning and yarnSPINNING. While living in Atlanta Georgia during the 1980s, she served as primary founder of the regional "Southern Order of Storytellers," an organization that promotes storytelling and presents festivals, workshops and seminars for aspiring storytelling afficionados. She and her husband Ed, a Presbyterian pastor, currently reside in Cordell Oklahoma, with their Standard Poodles Lavender and Lilac. They claim several (now adult) foster and international "daughters" scattered over several states and who represent several countries, including Brazil and Bulgaria and the U.S.
