Ann McReynolds Bush grew up in Texas and Louisiana, the daughter of Lt. Commander Robert Wing McReynolds, Jr. She holds a BA in English from the State University of New York and an MLS from Columbia University. Upon her retirement from a career in education, she returned to the New Orleans area. Hurricane Katrina subsequently destroyed her home and irrevocably altered her life and her point of view.
