Bob Perry grew up on a farm west of Verona, Missouri. He became a Baptist minister and served as a pastor for 15 years, later becoming the executive director of associations of churches in Missouri and Virginia. He served as an international missionary in Mexico for seven years. In 2014 he will celebrate 50 years as a minister. He pursued education as a way to "escape" the hard life of the farm, but has come to appreciate and treasure the experiences of growing up on an Ozarks farm. After traveling the world and living in huge urban centers, he returned to the Ozarks in 2003. Bob and his wife, Marilyn, live on eight acres a few miles west of Springfield, Missouri. He serves as a church consultant and provides ongoing ministry through Churchnet (the Baptist General Convention of Missouri) and the Greene County Baptist Association. Dr. Robert L. Perry graduated as valedictorian at Verona High School. After earning a Bachelor of Science in Education degree from Missouri State University, he completed Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees at Midwestern Seminary. This is the seventh book of which he has been author or co-author. His website is:
