or the last twenty-five years Lois Robin, M.A. has photographed and written about the revitalization of California Indian culture. She has created videos, CD's, and exhibits about Indian life. Her photographic work may be viewed on her website, (LoisRobin.com), which features portraits of Indians whose ancestors were at one time affiliated with the California missions. She has presented papers or displays at many yearly California Indian Conferences. Most of her work centers around the Monterey Bay, where she lives, although she has traveled throughout California documenting Indian cultural experiences. Along the way, she has happily achieved the trust and friendship of many Indian People. She is also an environmental activist working on protecting watersheds, wildlife. and native plants. Lois has lived in California for most of her life and has an affinity for its landscape, its history and the ancient and recent cultures that contribute to its richness.
