One Snowy Day

Hello new friends and readers! I'm Elizabeth Schart but my friends call me Beth. I started writing children's books while teaching 3rd grade. Whenever I gave my students a journal writing topic, I wrote right along with them and that's where my books began. Fan fiction: When I was teaching, my students and I often used books as a starting point for writing together in the classroom. I'd be happy to know if you've found something in One Snowy Day that sparks your own imagination. I'm thinking about starting #FanFictionFriday on my Facebook page so drop me an email (with your parents' permission, of course) and let me know if that sounds interesting to you. I'm not teaching anymore and one of the things I miss most is creating and sharing stories with children of every age! Feedback: When I wrote with my students, we truly became a community of writers and one of the most important parts of that involved giving feedback to one another. Writers can't always look at their own work with fresh eyes to see what's great about their story and what needs a little more work.
