Thomas Hammond started hunting internationally in 1971. He has won, amongst other achievements, hunting's three highest international awards. In 2010 he won the Safari Club International World Conservation and Hunting Award. In 2011 he won the Conklin Award for accumulating the highest totals of the most difficult and most dangerous hunting species. In 2012 he won the most coveted and most sought after Award, the prestigious Weatherby Award for extraordinary conservation efforts and accumulating the largest number of different hunting species. In his lifetime, he accumulated 314 different species, 38 more than any other winner in 55 years of the Award. He has harvested more different species in Europe than any other hunter in history and has harvested 150 different African species.
