The individual who does not have this information is doomed to encounter very difficult and sometimes painful challenges and decisions that could negatively impact their life. Additionally, the individual may encounter potential multi-million dollar fines and possible imprisonment for the pharmaceutical sales representative who is not aware of the true situation he or she is getting into. While on the other hand, if a person starts their new career off with this wisdom and knowledge, that person will be safeguarded from many of the virtual landmines that await you.It is my hope that by reading this book you will have all of the information you need to make a well informed decision of whether or not you should even begin a career in this industry or remain in pharmaceutical sales, if you are already working as a pharmaceutical sales representative. Because without a doubt there are a number of things your new boss and employer will not tell you in the beginning and only after time spent on the job will these things begin to reveal themselves to you. Now you won't have to spend over 35 years along with a lot of pain and suffering to find out the truth.I have found this to be the case many times over the years and I just don't think that is the way business should be done. So I urge you to take the time to thoroughly read this book and go forth in your quest with the knowledge and wisdom I am sure you will need. Additionally, I think that in order to survive in this business these days as a pharmaceutical sales representative you have to develop a different mindset about what this job truly has to offer you.You must remember that this job no longer offers a lifetime of employment security where you will work for the same company for 30-40 years. Those days are gone forever. As a matter of fact, if you should decide to pursue or maintain a career in this industry you will probably end up working for 6-8 different pharmaceutical companies over a 10-20 year period of time. That is if you can even survive in the industry that long. These days pharmaceutical sales provides an excellent opportunity to learn advanced sales skills and management skills that you can then use later in your life within some other occupation or entrepreneurial enterprise. But you must not ever think of the job as a permanent solution to your long term financial needs. I can promise you that you will be disappointed. These days and for many years to come pharmaceutical sales will only offer you several temporary employment opportunities. That is, if you can meet the industry's new requirement standards for the people they select. One piece of advise that I can share with you that I know will help prepare you for your future in pharmaceutical sales should you decide on a career in this industry is to, Expect The Unexpected and You Will Never Be Surprised!
