This book covers energy harvesting, electro-mechanical energy, dynamic analysis, piezoelectric composites, piezoelectric flexible film, macro fibre composites, experimental setup, simulations, converter and rectifier. The effect of the capacitor in the harvester circuit was also investigated. This helps to store energy effectively with low leakage. The PZT has been employed and embedded in the prosthesis to improve the prosthetic geometric parameters, beam, mass and the resistive electric loads which significantly influence the output power. This book introduces a new type of self- power generation prosthetics.

Dr. Kesorn Pechrach Weaver is a R&D Director in Ronsek Ltd. She is a specialist in Electro-Mechanical engineering and research scientist. She graduated PhD. from University of Southampton, M. Eng from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi and B. Eng from Khon Kaen University. Her expertise includes arc imaging, circuit breakers, smart material piezoelectric, Medical Devices and energy harvesting. In addition, she is an electrical engineer covering design and site construction supervision in oil refinery plants, substations and industrial estates.
