Christopher Smithmyer is the CEO of Seven Swords Training Institute, LLC, a mediator and volunteers as the CFO of Africa Peace and Conflict Network, a Non-profit that helps bring conflict resolution methodologies to Africa. Previous to these positions Chris was a Professor at Everest University, Teaching his first classes at 25. Chris holds his Jurist Doctorate, his LLM with duel focus in International Business Transactions and Dispute Resolution, his MBA in International Business, his M.A. in Industrial and Labor Relations, and his B.S. from Penn State University in Criminal Justice. He is currently completing his dissertation in pursuit of a Ph.D. in Conflict Analysis and Resolution at Nova Southeastern University focusing his research on economic development of human society and efficiency within national and international structures. Chris is a long time republican from a predominantly democratic area of Pennsylvania who move to Florida in 2005. Once there he became an active member of the Broward Executive Committee and the Broward County Young Republicans. He is currently running for State Senate in the 31st district of Florida. Chris prides himself on being an economic moderate and believing that individuals have the ability to chose for themselves how to best spend their money, this belief has propelled him to be a staunch advocate of the free market, but not so staunch that he ignores the needs of people who need a hand up by the government.
