George Manckiy, was born in Poland in 1932 and lived through the horrors of the Secord War Word. With nothing left for them in Europe, his family moved to the United States. Remembering the kindness American Soldiers had shown him and his family and wanting to do his part for his new country George joined the army. He served during the Koran War and was posted to a number of bases in the United States and in Germany during his six years in the army. The photographs in this small book have never been seen by the public and are from an album he kept from his army days, also included are the only 3 letters that survive which he wrote to his wife while in the army.
