Junita Tierinda Pullins, is a native of East Orange, NJ. She is a CODA (Child of a deaf adult), the daughter of a deaf mother (Sylvia Howard, MKSD NJ). Junita is married to John A. Pullins IV. They are the parents to Lyric Adonna-J'nai Pullins (Professional Harpist), Avahni Y'del Pullins (future Fashionista), and Elijah John "EJ" Pullins (future NFL player). This is Junita's first time authoring a book. She endeavors to write a few more including an autobiography of her experience as a CODA. Junita is also an active advocate for survivors & victims of sexual assault and domestic abuse. Junita spends her time being creative as she owns her own business as a (self-coined term), "Creative Envisionist," where she creates personalized custom items, such as affirmation mirrors & frames, custom shoes, custom wine glasses and plate ware, as well as professional makeup services. Junita is also the founder of DIVA (Divinely Inspired Visions of Art/Life is a ballroom Mentoring program), her nonprofit and mentoring program, where she mentors young women by creating unique workshops that empower young girls and teens. She has traveled all over northern NJ as a Motivational Speaker for different school districts to empower both young men and women to be their best selves. She has coined the term (copy written) "Life is a ballroom...You must dress as such!"
