Josephine and her siblings grew up in Dagoretti- Kenya in poverty. Her parents deserted them leaving them under the care of their elderly grandparents and well-wishers. There was a lot of poverty and corruption in the society. Despite those challenges, she completed her high-school education and got a scholarship to Germany. Leaving behind her family and a young man [Aaron] who loved her to start a new life in Berlin. She met Mayer and she fell in love with him. After many years in Germany, she is faced with a dilemma of whether to stay in Germany with Mayer [his love] or going back to Kenya to serve her country. She hopes to change her community which is still facing the same problems- corruption, poverty among others. Her life unfolds as she goes back to give back to her community.
