James Gavsie (Twitter: @jamesgavsie) is the founder and principal of MAX Impact Martial Arts www.maximpactmma.com in Los Angeles. Known to his students as "Mr. G.," James started his martial arts training in Canada. After moving to the United States James continued his search for the very best martial arts instruction he could find. Focused on the practical aspects of martial arts and effective self-defense techniques, James went on to become highly certified as both a martial artist and a martial arts instructor. James wrote the Renegade's Guide as an extension of his existing practice and support for students and parents at his Los Angeles academy.
