Carmen Love is the author of They Loved with a Closed Fist and has written three additional books. She is also the mother of four children.She has made it her life's mission to help others by becoming a licensed addiction counselor and violence prevention advocate with a heart for the lost and broken. Carmen Love graduated at the top of her class and was named outstanding student of her college at Metropolitan State University in St. Paul, Minnesota.Well known for her excellence in academic performance, Love was honored in December of 1999 with a scholarship in her name. The Carmen Love Endowment Scholarship for low-income students who struggle financially, just as Love herself struggled. Metropolitan State University has endorsed They Loved with a Closed Fist: When Love Hurts, and is now a part of their library collection.
