The Captain caught Alex's arm midair and slammed him into the ground. The Shrieker's shoulder-mounted rockets simultaneously deployed and hammered Alex's mech into the sand. Transcendence follows the story of Alex Vaye; a young man determined to become a mech pilot. After the AI wars nearly wiped out humanity, five factions arose to fill the void of government. Conflicting ideals soon led to war and new technologies, primarily mechs - Mechanized Exoskeleton Chassis and Hardware. The first galactic war formed the tenous reclamation line and gave rise to mercenaries and pirates. Now, with tensions on the rise again, Alex's skills are more valuable than ever.
