Truth as Strange as Fiction

John Pierce has been interested in creative writing since his first exposure to it in high school. He would love to focus on every category, especially poetry, novels, novelettes and research. Finally, with the time and opportunity, he has managed to bring forth one of his areas of interest. As an amateur genealogist, he has spent years, mainly over the internet, gathering information on his family. He has relied mostly on US census information, and verifiable historical records and consistent posted genealogies posted by others. In the course of this research, he unearthed a fascinating set of facts concerning an almost-relative, namely a great uncle. This is an attempt to make that fascinating set of facts a part of the reader's life.
